Sotai

“Sotai seems so easy and it has such dramatic results! Just a couple of moves and there have been huge changes in body structure. Imbalances I have been aware of for years have been altered in minutes.”

“Sotai strikes a familiar cord in me due to having spent two-thirds of the past two years practicing Feldenkrais with my physical therapist. As in Feldenkrais, Sotai focuses on maximizing the healthy capabilities and strengths of the body. The gentleness of this Japanese style allows the body to unfold into its own well being, supporting the health and wholeness, rather than a more aggressive approach that can be an onslaught on a weakened system.”

“Sotai is such an enjoyable therapy to learn. There is a natural flow that begins to happen within the movements and the communication between myself and the receiver. Integration. I see this system integrating movement, muscle groups, coordination and stimulating the brain. This system encourages patients to check into their body and explore ways of moving that have been forgotten. As humans the way we move is habitual and these habits do not always serve us well. Sotai seems one way out of this puzzle.”

B.R. – Portland, OR

“Sotai is effective because it does not stress our bodies but instead helps us to learn to let go of our holding patterns, I think it works by bringing the patient’s attention inward with their breath and coordinated movement. When I received Sotai I felt I gained insight into an innate calm and a feeling of my own healing potential. In giving Sotai I felt more like a facilitator than a practitioner, helping a person recognize their own state of inner peace.”

Dreamwork

I have greatly benefitted from Quinn’s acupuncture, expertise in Chinese medicine, and dreamwork. In particular, Quinn’s deep care and curiosity about dreams have been an absolute joy for me. I’ve had such fun exploring my dreamscapes with him and have experienced significant insight and healing as a part of our work together.

A.M. – Eugene, OR

“There are many things I could say about Bob Quinn’s dreamwork, but let me focus on a few key points. Incorporating his interpretations of my dreams into my treatments has shown me that there is a deeper level at which my own psyche is offering up clues, hidden in images, to my own healing. This has been so helpful that it is hard to express. There have been insights I have seen in this dreamwork that have been pivotal to discovering the core emotional issue I need to contend with. Layers are revealed in these dream images. Often perplexing dreams are followed by other dreams that help shine a light revealing deep knowing. Powerful. “
