Chinese Medicine Dreamwork

“Dreams are invariably seeking to express something that the ego does not know and does not understand.”

Carl Jung

In this course, which can be offered in half-day, full-day or two-day formats, Bob explains how Jeremy Taylor’s Projective Dreamwork approach can be brought to bear in Chinese Medicine. Bob studied this method starting in 1993.

In Lingshu, Chapter 43, we learn without a doubt that classically dream images were considered to have clear diagnostic value in Chinese Medicine. This alone should be a revelation! But how do we go about divining the hidden meaning of the symbols that appear in dreams?

This is not as obscure or as difficult as it might sound. We can use clear associations with 5-phases, yin-yang, san jiao, point names, and so on to create a coherent message from what appears at first glance to be a random and chaotic jumble of images. These Chinese Medicine “filters” all appear regularly in our patient dreams and can be teased out with a little practice. Bringing dreamwork into your practice can provoke a revolutionary shift and reveal a deeper understanding of the health challenges your patients face.
